The Citron Edit
Yellow is the colour most people skip. Too bright, too close to the skin, too hard to place. Citron — the greener, sharper end of yellow — is the version that works, and it works better on Indian skin than the buttery yellows usually offered instead.
Why citron and not lemon
Lemon yellow is warm and it competes with warm skin tones. Citron has green in it, which cools it down and puts a little distance between the fabric and the face. That distance is what stops a yellow top from washing you out.
The Chartreuse Linen Ruffle Shirt is the softest way in — a warm chartreuse linen in a relaxed button-front cut, with a rounded collar edged in ruffle, a ruffle-trimmed placket, and a patch pocket with the same detail. Full sleeves, buttoned cuffs, relaxed fit.

Two reliable pairings. Olive trousers for a grounded, tonal palette — the green in the citron and the green in the olive agree, and the whole outfit reads considered rather than bright. High-waisted indigo denim, shirt tucked, for the opposite effect: the blue makes the yellow snap.
Avoid black. Citron against black goes straight to sportswear.
Citron as a set
The Chartreuse Linen Piped Set commits — a camp collar shirt and matching mid-thigh shorts, both run through with contrast brown piping. The brown line does something important: it draws an edge around the colour so it stops spreading. Wear it together on holiday, or the shirt alone open over a plain tank.
For men, the same logic
The Citron Linen Contrast Shirt uses the identical trick — citron with cocoa-brown contrast on the collar, placket, cuffs and hem band. Brown borders, yellow field. Stone trousers, white sneakers, nothing else.
If you're still nervous
Buy the shirt, not the set, and wear it open over a white tee for the first month. You get citron at the edges of the frame and a neutral block down the centre — the easiest possible introduction to a colour you've been avoiding.

Does citron suit deeper skin tones?
Particularly well. The green undertone keeps it from clashing with warmth in the skin, which is the usual problem with yellow.
Will bright linen fade?
Wash cold, dry in shade, never in direct sun. Colour holds; sunlight on wet fabric is what strips it.
